PP-R Fusion Training & Certification

PP-R Fusion Training & Certification

Metropolitan Pipe provides comprehensive fusion training and certification for polypropylene (PP-R) piping systems, including Aquatherm Blue Pipe and Green Pipe products.

Professional Fusion Training for PP-R Piping Systems

Polypropylene random copolymer (PP-R) piping is one of the most advanced and reliable piping technologies available today. Unlike traditional joining methods, PP-R pipe is joined through heat fusion—creating a homogenous, leak-free connection that is stronger than the pipe itself. Metropolitan Pipe offers professional fusion training to ensure your team can install PP-R piping systems safely, efficiently, and to manufacturer specifications.

Aquatherm piping systems installed by trained and certified professionals are backed by a 10-year manufacturer warranty—giving building owners and engineers confidence in every joint and every system.

Training Curriculum

Our fusion training program combines classroom instruction with hands-on practice. Every participant receives direct guidance from experienced Metropolitan Pipe trainers who understand real-world installation challenges.

Socket Fusion

For pipe sizes 4 inches and smaller. Learn proper heating, insertion depth, and cooling procedures for socket fusion joints.

Butt Fusion

For pipe sizes 4 inches and larger. Master hydraulic butt fusion equipment setup, alignment, pressure settings, and bead inspection.

Outlet Fusion

Learn to install branch connections, saddle outlets, and specialty fittings using outlet fusion tools and techniques.

What Training Includes

  • Classroom Instruction — Overview of PP-R material properties, system design principles, Aquatherm product lines, and fusion theory.
  • Hands-On Practice — Each participant performs multiple fusion joints under supervision using professional-grade fusion tools and actual Aquatherm pipe and fittings.
  • Q&A Session — Open discussion covering project-specific questions, code compliance, troubleshooting, and best practices for field installation.
  • Certificate of Completion — Upon successful completion of training, each participant receives a fusion certification card valid for 2 years. Certification is renewable through a refresher course.
